APPROPRIATING $1,540 IN THE NO. 6010 TRUST FUND -POLICE
CANINE UNIT FOR POLICE CANINE UNIT EXPENDITURES;
AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 023702 WHICH ADOPTED THE
FY99-00 BUDGET BY ADDING $1,540 TO THE NO. 6010 TRUST FUND -
POLICE CANINE UNIT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $1,540 is appropriated in the No. 6010 Trust Fund -Police Canine Unit
for Police Canine Unit expenditures.
SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 023702, which adopted the FY99-00 budget, is amended
by increasing the No. 6010 Trust Fund -Police Canine Unit appropriation by $1,540.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
two regular meetings so that thi o finance is pasted and shalltake effect upon first reading as an

suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: 1/we,
therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
