HomeMy WebLinkAbout023799 ORD - 10/19/1999ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $30,000 FROM THE UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE - DESIGNATED FOR RECODIFICATION OF CITY CODE IN THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND TO PURCHASE AN OPTICAL IMAGING SYSTEM; AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 023702, WHICH ADOPTED THE FY99-00 BUDGET BY ADDING $30,000 TO THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $30,000 is appropriated from the unreserved fund balance -designated for recodification of the City Code in the No. 1020 General Fund to purchase an optical imaging system for the City Secretary's office. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 023702, which adopted the FY99-00 budget, is amended by increasing the No. 1020 General Fund appropriation by $30,000. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that thi o- d nance is assssed�and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the i9 "day of VU Vd K.{e., 1999.
