RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR
COASTAL BEND COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS' FISCAL YEAR 2000
REGIONAL SOLID WASTE GRANTS.
WHEREAS, the Coastal Bend Council of Governments (COG) administers solid waste grant
funds for implementation the COG's adopted regional solid waste management plan for the
Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission; and
WHEREAS, City of Corpus Christi Texas is qualified to apply for solid waste grant funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS;
Section 1. That David R. Garcia is authorized to request grant funding under the Coastal Bend
Council of Governments' Fiscal Year 2000 Regional Solid Waste Grants Program, and act, on
behalf of the City, in all matters related to the grant applications and any subsequent grant
contracts and grant projects that may result.
Section 2. That if any projects are funded, the City of Corpus Christi will comply with the grant
requirements of the Coastal Bend Council of Governments, Texas Natural Resource
Conservation Commission, and the State of Texas.
Section 3. The grant funds and any grant -funded equipment or facilities will be used only for the
purposes specified in the grant.
Section 4. That City's activities will comply with and support the adopted regional and local
solid waste management plans.
Section 5. That the City is not in arrears in payment of any municipal solid waste fee owed to
the State of Texas.
