APPROPRIATING $12,000 FROM AN ANONYMOUS DONATION IN THE
NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND TO SUPPORT THE EXTENSION OF LIFE TO
IMPOUNDED, ADOPTABLE ANIMALS AT THE ANIMAL CONTROL
FACILITY; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 023702, WHICH ADOPTED
THE FY99-00 BUDGET BY ADDING S12,000 TO THE NO. 1020 GENERAL
FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $12,000 from the an anonymous donation is appropriated in the No. 1020
General Fund to support the extension of life to impounded, adoptable animals at the Animal Control
Facility.
SECTION 2. That ordinance No. 023702, which adopted the FY 99-00 Budget is amended
by adding $12,000 to the General Fund.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the
efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and
declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at
two regular meetings so that this ordinance 4 passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an

suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings: I/we,
therefore, request that you suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is
introduced, or at the present meeting of the City Council.
