HomeMy WebLinkAbout023853 ORD - 11/30/1999AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $115,000 FROM A COASTAL BEND COMMUNITY FOUNDATION GRANT IN THE NO. 3210 LIBRARY CIP FUND FOR LIBRARY MATERIALS FOR THE JANET F. HARTE PUBLIC LIBRARY; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 023703 WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 99-00 CAPITAL BUDGET, TO ADD $115,000 TO THE LIBRARY PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $115,000 from a Coastal Bend Community Foundation Grant is appropriated in the No. 3210 Library CIP Fund for library materials for the Janet F. Harte Public Library. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 023703 which adopted the Fiscal Year 1999-2000 Capital Budget is amended by adding $115,000 to the Library Program. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of city affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that thi or t ance is assed anal shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the aay of Q\,QX1L000% 1999.
