HomeMy WebLinkAbout023862 RES - 11/30/1999RESOLUTION ALLOCATING ACCESS LINE CATEGORIES FOR CERTIFICATED TELECOMMUNICATIONS PROVIDERS PURSUANT TO HOUSE BILL 1777 ADOPTED BY THE SEVENTY-SIXTH TEXAS LEGISLATURE WHEREAS, pursuant to House Bill 1777, 76th Texas Legislature, the Public Utility Commission of Texas has established three categories of access lines for statewide use; and WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi wishes to exercise its authority granted by House Bill 1777 to effect an allocation of the base amount over the specific access line categories. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The allocation of the base amount in the City of Corpus Christi for the access line categories established by the Public Utility Commission of Texas shall be as follows: Category 1 - 1 (residential; point-to-point burglar alarm) Category 2 - 2.5 (non-residential switched) Category 3 - 7 (non-residential and residential point-to-point) SECTION 2. A copy of this resolution shall be promptly transmitted by the City Manager, along with the City's calculation of base amount, to the Public Utility Commission of Texas, and the City Manager is directed to take such additional actions as necessary to assist the PUC and comply with its rules.
