HomeMy WebLinkAbout023923 ORD - 01/25/2000AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $349,943.50 FROM THE RESERVE FOR CAPITAL OUTLAY IN THE NO. 5110 MAINTENANCE SERVICE FUND TO PURCHASE SLOPE MOWERS; AMENDING THE FY 99-00 BUDGET, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 023702, BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $349,943.50 IN THE NO. 5110 MAINTENANCE SERVICES FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTh SECTION 1. That $349,943.50 is appropriated from the Reserve for Capital Outlay in the No. 5110 Maintenance Service Fund to purchase slope mowers SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 023702, which adopted the FY 99-00 budget, is amended by adding $349,943.50 to the No. 5110 Maintenance Service Fund. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for iinmediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so tha^t t~3~.ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ~"~ay of ~~ , 2000.
