HomeMy WebLinkAbout023944 ORD - 02/15/2000AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $150,000, RECEIVED FROM KOCH INDUSTRIES, INC., AND $304.07 OF INTEREST IN ACCOUNT NO. 1050-00000-806090, TNRCC-SEP ACCOUNT, TO PURCHASE SITE SPECIFIC ALERTING DEVICE SYSTEMS FOR AT-RISK AREAS IN AND AROUND CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES IN THE CORPUS CHRISTI/NUECES COUNTYAREA UNDER THE CORPUS CHRISTI/NUECES COUNTY LOCAL EMERGENCY PLANNING COMMITTEE'S EMERGENCY RESPONSE AND COMMUNICATIONS DURING HAZARDOUS MATERIAL INCIDENTS PROGRAM; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTh SECTION 1. Appropriating $150,000, received from Koch Industries, Inc., and $304.07 of interest in Account No. 1050-00000-806090, TNRCC-SEP Account, to purchase to purchase site specific alerting device systems for at-risk areas in and around chemical industries in the Corpus Christi/Nueces County area under the Corpus Christi/Nueces County Local Emergency Planning Committee's emergency response and communications during hazardous material incidents program.
