AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF A FIRST YEAR GRANT
APPLICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $58,865 TO THE STATE OF TEXAS,
OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION, FOR
FUNDING AVAILABLE TO HIRE A COMPUTER FORENSICS
SPECIALIST.
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi recognizes the need for a Computer Forensics
Specialist; and
WHEREAS, in the event of the loss or misuse of these Criminal Justice Division funds, the
City of Corpus Christi assures that funds will be returned to the Criminal Justice Division in full.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Corpus Christi hereby authorizes the submission of a first
year grant application in the amount of $58,865 to the State of Texas, Office of the Governor,
Criminal Justice Division, for funding available to hire a Computer Forensics Specialist.
