HomeMy WebLinkAbout023977 ORD - 03/21/2000ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 023206, WHICH APPROPRIATED $50,000,000 FROM THE COMMERCIAL PAPER PROGAM TO THREE SEPARATE FUNDS, AND ORDINANCE NOS. 023557 AND 023781, WHICH CHANGED THE ALLOCATIONS IN THE THREE FUNDS, BY ELIMINATING SPECIFIC ALLOCATIONS TO EACH FUND AND CREATING ONE ALLOCATION FOR THE COMMERCIAL PAPER PROGRAM TO BE INTERNALLY ALLOCATED TO ANY OF THE THREE FUNDS AS NECESSARY TO FUND VARIOUS ELIGIBLE WATER, WASTEWATER, AND STORMWATER PROJECTS ON THE FY97-98, FY 98-99 AND FY99-00 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT LISTS, AS AMENDED BY FUTURE ADOPTED CAPITAL BUDGETS, NOT TO EXCEED THE $50,000,000 TOTAL APPROPRIATION, AS RENEWED FROM TIME TO TIME; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 023206, which appropriated $50,000,000 from the commercial paper program to three separate funds, and Ordinance Nos. 023557 and 023781, which changed the allocations in the three funds, are amended by eliminating specific allocations to each fund and creating one allocation for the Commerical Paper Program, to be intemally allocated to any of the three funds, in amounts not to exceed the $50,000,000 total appropriation, as renewed from time to time, as necessary to fund various eligible stormwater projects on the FY97-98, FY 98-99, and FY 99-00 Capital Improvements Project Lists, and future Capital Improvements Project Lists adopted by future Capital Budgets. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings ATTEST: THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI  ~ayor ' Armando Chapa, City Secretary "~ Legal Form Approved/(o FF(.a./F(L , 2000; James R.
