HomeMy WebLinkAbout023996 RES - 03/28/2000RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 023862 WHICH ALLOCATED ACCESS LINE CATEGORIES FOR CERTIFICATED TELECOMMUNICATIONS PROVIDERS PURSUANT TO HOUSE BILL 1777 ADOPTED BY THE SEVENTY-SIXTH TEXAS LEGISLATURE WHEREAS, pursuant to House Bill 1777, in Resolution No. 023862 the City of Corpus Christi allocated the base amount (revenues received from certificated telecommunications providers for 1998 use of the public rights-of-way) among three categories of access lines as follows: 1:2.5:7; WHEREAS, the Public Utility Commission has provided the City of Corpus Christi with revised access line counts and base amount calculations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The allocation of the base amount in the City the City of Corpus Christi for the access line categories established by the Public Utility Commission of Texas shall be as amended as follows: Category 1 - 1 (residential; point-to-point burglar alarm) Category 2 - 2.5 2.29 (non-residential switched) Category 3 --7- 3.22 (non-residential and residential point-to-point) SECTION 2. A copy of this resolution shall be promptly transmitted by the City Manager to the Public Utility Commission of Texas, along with the City' s calculation of base amount, and the City Manager is directed to take such additional actions as necessary to assist the PUC and comply with its rules.
