AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE
AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH NUECES COUNTY TO
IMPLEMENT A CONSOLIDATED EMERGENCY DISPATCH CENTER
WHEREAS, the City and Nueces County both operate separate emergency dispatch centers
with overlapping jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, the City and the County desire to consolidate these two centers to provide more
efficient operations and a higher level of service to the public and public safety personnel;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRIST1, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized to execute an
Interlocal Agreement with Nueces County to implement a Consolidated Emergency Dispatch Center.
A cop3' of the interlocal Agreement is on file in the office of the City Secretary.
