ORDINANCE
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO
EXECUTE A TWENTY YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE
VETERANS BAND OF CORPUS CHRISTI TEXAS FOR THE BUDDY
LAWRENCE HOUSE LOCATED AT HERITAGE PARK (LOTS 4, 5, AND
6, BLOCK 60, BEACH PORTION OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS) TO BE USED FOR OPERATIONS OF THE VETERANS BAND OF
CORPUS CHRISTI TEXAS IN CONSIDERATION OF ONE HUNDRED AND
FIFTY DOLLARS ($150) MONTHLY AND INTERIOR MAINTENANCE OF
THE FACILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or designee, is authorized to execute a twenty year
lease with the Veterans Band of Corpus Christi Texas for the Buddy Lawrence House located at
Heritage Park (Lots 4,5, and 6, Block 60, Beach Portion of the City of Corpus Christi, Texas) to be
used for operations of the Veterans Band of Corpus Christi Texas in consideration of One Hundred
and Fifty Dollars ($150) monthly and interior maintenance of the facility. A copy of the lease is on
file with the City Secretary.
SECTION 2. The lease is to begin 60 days after final City Council approval and will end
on the twenty year anniversary thereof.
SECTION 3. Publication will be made in the official publication of the City of Corpus
Christi as required by the City Charter of the City of Corpus Christi.
