HomeMy WebLinkAbout024173 ORD - 08/22/2000ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $130,000 FROM THE CORPUS CHRISTI DOWNTOWN MANAGEMENT DISTRICT IN THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND - STREET LIGHTING ACTIVITY FOR PHASE 2B OF SIDEWALK/STREET LIGHTING IMPROVEMENTS IN THE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS DISTRICT; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 024130, WHICH ADOPTED THE FY00-01 BUDGET, BY ADDING $130,000 TO THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND STREET LIGHTING ACTIVITY NO. 12460-530210; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CIIRIST1, TEXAS: SECTION 1. Tinat $ 130.000 from the Corpus Christi Dowutown Management District is appropriated in the No. 1020 General Ft:nd - Street Lighting Activity for Phase 2B of Sidewalk/Street Lighting Improvements in the Doxvntown Business District. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 024i30. which adopted the FY00-01 budget, is mended by adding $130,000 to the No. 1020 General Fund - Street Lighting Activity No. 12460-530210. SECTION 3. That upon written rcquest of the Mayor or five Council members. copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings ATTEST: THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI Ar~ecrelary Samuel L.
