HomeMy WebLinkAbout024234 RES - 09/26/2000RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO APPLY FOR A GRANT OF $133,900 FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION TO FUND A PROJECT TO PREVENT MINORS FROM PURCHASING AND CONSUMING ALCOHOL USING POLICE OFFICERS ON OVERTIME. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to apply for a grant of $133,900 from the State of Texas, Criminal Justice Division to fund a project to prevent minors from purchasing and consuming alcohol using police officers on overtime. SECTION 2. In the event of the loss or misuse of these Criminal Justice Division funds, the City of Corpus Cl'u'isti assures that the funds will be returned to the Criminal Justice Division in full. The grant application requires a statement in the resolution that in the event of the loss or misuse of the Criminal Justice Division funds, the grantee assures that the funds will be returned to the Criminal Justice Division il~ full.
