HomeMy WebLinkAbout024277 ORD - 11/14/2000AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $245,310.30 FROM THE UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE IN THE NO. 6010-21130 LAW ENFORCEMENT FEDERAL TRUST FUND AND APPROPRIATNG $213,442.70 FROM THE UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE 1N THE NO. 6010-21120 LAW ENFORCEMENT STATE TRUST FUND FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT EQUIPMENT AND RELATED EXPENDITURES; AMENDING THE FY 00- 01 BUDGET, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 024130, TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS BY $458,753 IN THE NO. 6010 LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: SECTION 1. That $245,310.30 is appropriated from the unreserved fund balance in the No. 6010- 21130 Law Enforcement Federal Trust Fund for law enforcement eqnipment and related expenditures. SECTION 2. That $213,442.70 is appropriated from the unreserved fund balance in the No. 6010- 21120 Law Enforcement State Trust Fund for law enforcement equipment and related expenditures. SECTION 3. That Ordinance No. 024t30, which adopted the FY 00-01 budget, is amended by adding $458,753 to the No. 6010 Law Enforcement Trust Fund. SECTION 4. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members. copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter day of ~N;, 2000.
