HomeMy WebLinkAbout024295 ORD - 12/12/2000AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $31,000 FROM THE INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH NUECES COUNTY FOR A CONSOLIDATED EMERGENCY DISPATCH CENTER IN THE GENERAL FUND NO. 1020; AMENDING FY 00-01 BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 024130, TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS BY $31,000 IN THE NO. 1020 FUND FOR PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE EMERGENCY DISPATCH CENTER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: SECTION 1. That $31,000 is appropriated from the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with Nueces County for a Consolidated Emergency Dispatch Center in the General Fund No. 1020 to purchase equipment for the Emergency Dispatch Center. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 024130, which adopted by FY 00-01 budget, is amended by increasing appropriations by $31,000 in the No. 1020 Fund for purchase of equipment for the Emergency Dispatch Center. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that ,t)i~,ordinance, is pas~ed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ~rd}ay of ~ (~(~T/~¢'~ , 2000.
