HomeMy WebLinkAbout024297 RES - 12/12/2000RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION OF $163,100 TO THE STATE OF TEXAS, OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION, FOR FUNDING ELIGIBLE UNDER THE FY 2000 JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE BLOCK GRANTS PROGRAM TO FUND A PROGRAM TO REDUCE JUVENILE CRIME AND ESTABLISH INTERAGENCY INFORMATION SHARING PROGRAMS NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to submit a grant application of $163,100 to the State of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division, for funding eligible under the FY 2000 Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grants Program to fund a program to reduce juvenile crime and establish interagency information sharing programs. SECTION 2. The City of Corpus Christi will provide matching grant funds of $16,310. SECTION 3. In the event of the loss or misuse of these Criminal Justice Division funds, the City of Corpus Christi assures that the funds will be returned to the Criminal Justice Division in full.
