AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR THE CITY MANAGER'S
DESIGNEE, TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO TEXAS
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $265,500
FOR DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A COMPREHENSIVE
COMMUNICATION AND EDUCATION PLAN RELATING TO UNDERAGE
DRINKING AND IMPAIRED DRIVING.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, is authorized to submit
a grant application to Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) in the amount of
$265,500 for the development and implementation of a comprehensive communication
and education plan to increase awareness of the consequences of underage drinking
and impaired driving in support of TXDOT's Highway Safety Plan.
