AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO ACCEPT AN
ADDITIONAL $54,552 FROM AMENDED FEDERAL AVIATION
ADMINISTRATION GRANT NUMBER 3-48-0051-30-00 FOR A REVISED
TOTAL OF $558,552, CONTINGENT UPON RECEIPT OF THE GRANT
OFFER, FOR THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACEMENT AREF TRUCK
WITH EXTENDIBLE ELEVATED WATERWAY AND PERSONAL
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING.
WHEREAS, on August 22, 2000 the City Council, by resolution number 024155, authorized
the City Manager to accept Federal Aviation Administration Grant Number 3-48-0051-30-00 in the
amount of $504,000 for the purchase of a replacement ARFF Truck with Extendible Elevated
Waterway, Driver's Enhanced Vision System (DEVS), and Personal Protective Clothing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Manager or designee is authorized to accept an additional $54,552
from amended Federal Aviation Administration Grant Number 3-48-0051-30-00 for a revised total
of $558,552, contingent upon receipt of the grant offer, for the purchase of a replacement ARFF
truck with extendible elevated waterway and personal protective clothing.
