APPROPRIATING A $160,200 GRANT FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT
OF HUMAN SERVICES 1N THE NO. 1050 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS
FUND FOR THE TITLE XX MEALS ON WHEELS PROGRAM; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIl, OF TIlE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI:
SECTION 1. ]'hat a $160.200 grant is appropriated in tine No. 1050 Federal"State (h-ants Fund from
the l'c×as I)epartment c I I lnman Scrxqccs ['or tine Title X× Meals on \Vlneels Prom'am.
SE(TION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached,
thc City Council (l) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action
necessary fi)r the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter
rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at [we regular meetings so that this
ordinance is pagsed and 'takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the

inlroduced, or at thc present meeting of the City Council.
