APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION IN THE
AMOUNT OF $333,467 TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE,
BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE, FOR FUNDING ELIGIBLE UNDER
THE FY2001 LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANTS PROGRAM
TO PURCHASE LAW ENFORCEMENT EQUIPMENT FOR THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to submit a grant application
in the amount of $333,467 to the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, for
funding eligible under the FY2001 Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program. Grant funds will
be used to purchase law enforcement equipment for the Police Department.
