HomeMy WebLinkAbout024587 ORD - 09/18/2001ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $245,475 FROM THE UNRESERVED BALANCE IN THE NO. 1050 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND AS STATE FISCAL YEARS 2000-2001 AND 2001-2002 PROGRAM INCOME TO FUND DENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH, LABORATORY AND NURSING SERVICES FOR THE PERIOD OF SEPTEMBER 1, 2000 THROUGH AUGUST 31, 2002; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $245,845 is appropriated from the unreserved balance in the No. 1050 Federal/State Grants Fund as State Fiscal Years 2000-2001 and 2001-2002 program income to fund dental, environmental health, laboratory and nursing services for the period of September 1,2000 through August 31, 2002. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that. thi~ ordinance is,passed and take,s effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ~v~ day of ~.~)D~'k~J~ 2001.
