FUND FOR THE TITLE XX MEALS ON WHEELS PROGRAM; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

SECTION 1. That a $209,840 grant ti'om the Icxas Delgartment o£1 luman Services in the No. 1050
Fcde al, State Grants Fund [ur the title XX Meals on Wheels Program.
SECTION 2. That upon written request of thc Mayor or five Council rnembers, copy attached,
the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action
necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter
rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so tha~ [~,~5
ordinance isrlslassed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ~
