HomeMy WebLinkAbout024723 ORD - 01/08/2002ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $60,000 FROM THE TEXAS COASTAL COORDINATION COUNCIL IN THE NO. 1050 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND FOR CONSTRUCTION OF OVERLOOKS AT FALCON PARK; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $60,000 from the Texas Coastal Coordination Council is appropriated in the No. 1050 Federal/State Grants Fund for construction of overlooks at Falcon Park. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is p~assed and takes effect upo~t reading as an emergency measure on this the ~ day of ATTEST: Armando Chapa City Secretary THE CITY OF CO~RPUS CHRIS Mayor APPROVED: This 27 day of November, 2001' James R.
