HomeMy WebLinkAbout024884 ORD - 05/21/2002ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $60,000 FROM THE REFINERY TERMINAL FIRE COMPANY IN THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN INFORMATION AND VIDEO DISPLAYING SYSTEM FOR THE CITY'S EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $60,000 from the Refinery Terminal Fire Company is appropriated in the No. 1020 General Fund for the purchase of an information and video displaying system for the City's Emergency Operations Center. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon~ir? reading as an emergency measure on this the C~l~day of ! y ~. _~t~(_,//~-- ,2002. ,~'rr~ando Chapa (J "-"~ar:n~Jel ~l~e~l, Jr~ City Secretary Mayor ~ APPROVED: This 15th day of May, 2002: James R.
