Home My WebLink About024923 ORD - 06/25/2002 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO.1 TO THE LEASE FOR JAYCEE FIELD BETWEEN THE CORPUS CHRISTI INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, AUTHORIZED BY ORDINANCE NO. 022811 ON JANUARY 7,1997, TO REVISE DUTIES RELATED TO MAINTEN- ANCE OF THE PARKING LOT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1, The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute Amendment NO.1 to the lease for Jaycee Field, at 3101 Swantner, between the Corpus Christi Inde- pendent School District and the City of Corpus Christi, authorized by Ordinance No. 022811, on January 7, 1997, to revise the District's duties related to maintenance of the parking lot. A copy of Amendment NO.1 is attached to this ordinance as Exhibit A. SECTION 2. If, for any reason, any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judg- ment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite in- tent of the City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, phrase, word and provision hereof shall be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 3.
