HomeMy WebLinkAbout024953 ORD - 07/23/2002AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $20,086.19 FROM THE UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE 1N THE NO. 6010 TRUST FUND TO PURCHASE A FIRE SAFETY HOUSE; AMENDING THE FY01-02 BUDGET, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 024528, TO 1NCREASE APPROPRIATIONS BY $20,086.19 IN THE NO. 6010 TRUST FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI: SECTION 1. That $20,086.19 is appropriated from the unreserved fund balance in the No. 6010 Trust Fund to purchase a fire safety house. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 024528, which adopted the FY 01-02 budget, is amended by adding $20,086.19 to the No. 6010 Trust Fund. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the~9~ i~) day of c~ ~ ~ , 2002.
