HomeMy WebLinkAbout025001 RES - 09/09/2002RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO THE SALE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 7601 LEOPARD STREET TO TULOSO MIDWAY ISD FOR $7,672.23 AND AUTHORIZING THE NUECES COUNTY JUDGE TO EXECUTE A RESALE DEED FOR SUCH PROPERTY WHEREAS, the taxing authorities hold in trust the property located at 7601 Leopard Street, legal description Tract 1, Eleanor Tract Subdivision in the City of Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas, according to map or plat thereof recorded in Volume 34, Page 36, Map Records of Nueces County, Texas; and WHEREAS, Tuloso Midway ISD desires to acquire said property for use as its Alternative High School and Alternative Discipline Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 34.05 of the Tax Code, the governing body of the City of Corpus Christi hereby the City of Corpus Christi consents to the sale of the property located at 7601 Leopard Street to Tuloso Midway lSD ("TMISD") for $7,672.23. Out of this amount, $6,432.00 will be paid to the City for the City's demolition lien and $1,140.23 will be paid for legal fees to the law firm of Linebarger, Heard, Goggan, Blair, Graham, Pefia & Sampson, L.L.P. SECTION 2. That the Nueces County Judge is authorized to execute a resale deed for such property.
