HomeMy WebLinkAbout025009 ORD - 09/09/2002ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $6,219,464 FROM FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION GRANT NO. 34, UPON RECEIPT, IN THE NO. 3020 AIRPORT CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND, FOR THE TERMINAL RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT, DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT PHASE 3 PROJECT, AND IMPROVEMENTS TO THE RUNWAY SAFETY AREAS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That an amount not to exceed $6,219,464 is appropriated from Federal Aviation Administration Grant No. 34, upon receipt, in the No. 3020 Airport Capital Improvement Fund for the Terminal Reconstruction Project, Drainage Improvement Phase 3 Project, and improvements to the Runway safety areas. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter role that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so~t this ordin~ce i_s passed ~d_ takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ~day of~, 2002.
