HomeMy WebLinkAbout025026 ORD - 09/17/2002ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $39,896 IN THE NO. 1050 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND FROM THE STATE OF TEXAS, OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION, FOR THIRD YEAR FUNDING FOR THE COMPUTER FORENSICS SPECIALIST GRANT; TRANSFERRING $4,000 FROM THE NO. 6010 LAW ENFORCEMENT TRUST FUND AND $14,895 FROM THE NO. 1020 GENERAL FUND AND APPROPRIATING THESE FUNDS IN THE NO. 1050 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND AS MATCHING GRANT FUNDS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $39,895 is appropriated in the No. 105 Federal/State Grants fund from the State of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division for third year funding for the Computer Forensics Specialist grant; transferring $4,000 from the No. 6010 Law Enforcement Trust Fund and $14,895 from the No. 1020 General Fund and appropriating these funds in the No. 1050 Federal/State grants fund as grant matching funds. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ~_-r~y of ~J)~,~_~ .F002. % ATTEST: THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI Armando Chapat/ City Secretary Mayor Legal form approved James R.
