TO INCREASE THE REIMBURSEMENT CONTRACT FROM $85,000 TO $'125,000 AND APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL $40,000 FROM THE COASTAL BEND BAYS AND ESTUARIES PROGRAM IN THE NO. 1050 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS FUND FOR CORPUS CHRISTI BEACH SHORELINE STABILIZATION - HABITAT CREATION PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, is authorized to execute Amendment No. 3 with the Coastal Bend Bays and Estuaries Program, inc. to increase the reimbursement contract from $85,000 to $125,000 for Corpus Christi Beach Shoreline Stabilization - Habitat Creation Project. SECTION 2. That an additional $40,000 from the Coastal Bend Bays and Estuaries Program is appropriated in the No. 1050 Federal/State Grants Fund for Corpus Christi Beach Shoreline Stabilization - Habitat Creation Project. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is p.2~ed and takes effect .t,J~0n- first rea, ding as an emergency measure on this the I ' I "d'ay of [_~P~¥ ¥ ~©~ ,2002.
