HomeMy WebLinkAbout025172 ORD - 01/21/2003ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $147,000 FROM THE UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE IN THE NO. 5110 MAINTENANCE SERVICE FUND TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT; AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 024974 WHICH ADOPTED THE FY 2002-2003 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $147,000; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $147,000 is appropriated from the unreserved fund balance in the No. 5110 Maintenance Service Fund to purchase equipment. SECTION 2. That Ordinance No. 024974 which adopted the FY 2002-2003 Operating Budget is amended by increasing appropriations by $147,000. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordil~ance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the %?~i~ay of ~¢~2~[0~2003.
