APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION 1N THE AMOUNT OF
$105,231 TO THE STATE OF TEXAS, TEXAS ALCHOLIC BEVERAGE COMMISSION
FOR FUNDING OF OVERTIME TO ENFORCE THE UNDERAGE DRINKING LAWS
AND TO PREVENT YOUTH ACCESS TO AND ILLEGAL USE OF ALCOHOL
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby authorizes the submission of a grant application
in the amount of $105,231 to the State of Texas, Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission for
funding of overtime to enforce the underage drinking laws and to prevent youth access to and
illegal use of alcohol.
SECTION 2. The City of Corpus Christi will provide matching grant funds of $27,000.
SECTION 3. In the event of the loss or misuse of these funds, the City of Corpus Christi
assures that the funds will be returned to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission in full.
