SltELTER AND VECTOR CONTROL FACILITY PROJECT;
AMENDING CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO.
1125144 BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $541,545.53; AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:

Compan5 is appropriated in the Public [lealth and Safety Fund No. 3358 for the Corpus Christi
Animal Shelter and Vector Control Facility Project.
SECI'ION 2. That Ordinance No. 02S 144 which adoptcd thc FY ,,002-200_~ Capital Budget is
amended by increasing appropriations b> $541~545.53.
SECTION 3. 'lhat upon written request of thc Mayor or tive Council members, copy attached,
the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action
necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the
Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at tYvo regular meetings so
that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the

requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two

ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or at the prcsent meeting of the City Council.
