AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR THE CITY MANAGER'S
DESIGNEE, TO ACCEPT A GRANT FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT
OF PUBLIC SAFETY DIVISION OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT IN
THE AMOUNT OF $22,240.00 FOR HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS PLANNING ACTIVITIES, WITH A CITY
MATCH OF $4,448.00 IN THE NO. 1050 FEDERAL/STATE GRANTS
FUND, AND A TOTAL PROJECT COSTS OF $26,688.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, is authorized to accept
a grant from the Texas Department of Public Safety Division of Emergency
Management i.n the amount of $22,240.00 for hazardous materials emergency
preparedness planning activities. The City match for this grant is $4,448.00 in the No.
1050 Federal/State Grants Fund, for a total project cost of $26,688.00.
