AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 025218 TO INCREASE
A.~PROPRIATION FROM CNA SURETY COMPANY AND
CONTINENTAL CASUALTY COMPANY FROM $280,351.84 TO
$374,851.~4 FOR THE CORPUS CHRISTI MUSTANG ISLAND FIRE
AND PARK AND RECREATION STATION, PROJECT NO. 5114;
AMENDING CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO.
02~144 BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $94,500; AND
DltCLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT O~DAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 025218 is amended to increase appropriation from CNA
Surety Company and Continental Casualty Company from $280,351.84 to $374,851.84 for the
Corpus Christi Mustang Island Fire and Park and Recreation Station, Project No. 5114.
SECTION 2. That the FY 2002-2003 Capital Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 025144 is
amended by increasing appropriations by $94,500.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached,
the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action
necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affaim and (2) suspends the
Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so

emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and
voting ~pon ordinances at two regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you
suspeml said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or
at the present meeting of the City Council.
