DTFA07-04-L-00560 WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, FEDERAL AVIATION Al)MINISTRATION FOR THE USE OF LAND SITES AT THE CORPUS CHRISTI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT 1N CONSIDERATION OF THE OBLIGATIONS ASSUMED BY THE GOVERNMENT IN 1TS ESTABLISHMENT, OPERATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF RUNWAY LIGHTS AND OTHER EQUIPMENT UPON THE LEASED PREMISES FOR A TERM OF ONE YEAR; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute Lease No. DTFA07-04-1-00560 with the United States of America, Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Administration for the use of land sites at the Corpus Christi International Airport in consideration of the obligations assumed by the government in its establishment, operation, and maintenance of the facilities upon the premises hereby leased for a term of one year, as more fully set forth in the Lease Agreement attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A"; and declaring an emergency. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and shall take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ~.SW~ay of "~/'(~.~ ~- .2003.
