HomeMy WebLinkAbout025341 ORD - 06/17/2003AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXE- CUTE A TEN-YEAR LEASE WITH PADRE LITTLE LEAGUE, INC., A NON- PROFIT CORPORATION, FOR THE USE OF BILL WITT PARK AND IN CONSIDERATION OF PADRE LITTLE LEAGUE, INC. MAINTAIN- ING THE PREMISES AND IMPROVEMENTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVER- ANCE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute a ten-year lease with Padre Little League, Inc., a non-profit corporation, for the use of the Bill Witt Park and in consideration of Padre Little League, Inc. maintaining the premises and improvements. A copy of the lease, including exhibits that are attached to and incorporated into the lease, is on file with the City Secretary. SECTION 2. If, for any reason, any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance shall be held invalid or unconstitutional by final judgment of a court of competent jurisdiction, it shall not affect any other section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, phrase, word or provision of this ordinance, for it is the definite intent of the City Council that every section, paragraph, subdivision, phrase, word and provision hereof shall be given full force and effect for its purpose. SECTION 3.
