HomeMy WebLinkAbout025435 ORD - 08/26/2003ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $109,000 IN UNAPPROPRIATED INTEREST EARNINGS FROM WATER CIP FUND NO. 4084 FOR ELECTRONIC HANDHELD METER READING SYSTEM; AMENDING FY 2002-2003 CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 025144 TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS BY $109,000; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE crrY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $109,000 is a~ppropriated from the unappropriated interest earnings from Water CIP Fund No. 4084 for an electronic handheld meter reading system. SECTION 2. That the FY 2002-2003 Capital Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 025144 is amended to increase appropriations by $109,000. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for t~he efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon firs~eading ~s an emergency measure this thec~,'f~ day of ~'1,~' L$~ , 2003.
