HomeMy WebLinkAbout025459 ORD - 09/09/2003ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $33,335.08 FROM THE UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE IN THE NO. 5110 MAINTENANCE SERVICE FUND TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR VEHICLE MAINTENANCE LIFTS FOR THE MAINTENANCE SERVICE CENTER; AMENDING THE FY 2003-2004 OPERATING BUDGET ADOPTED IN ORDINANCE 025394 BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $33,335.08; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $33,335.08 is appropriated from the Unreserved fund Balance in the No. 5110 Maintenance Service Fund to provide funding for vehicle maintenance lifts for the Maintenance Service Center. SECTION 2. That the FY 2003-2004 Operating Budget adopted in Ordinance No. 025394 is amended by increasing appropriations by $33,335.08. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is p~.s~ed and takes effffc_t upon fir~ reading as an emergency measure this the (-~'~ day of ~ ,~'~Y~._~ ,2003.
