HomeMy WebLinkAbout025473 ORD - 09/09/2003AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 024905 PASSED AND APPROVED ON JUNE 11, 2002, BY AMENDING SECTION 3 TO ADOPT THE FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL AND ASSESSMENTS TO BE LEVIED AGAINST THE J OWNERS OF PROPER~ ABUTTING ON THE FOLLOWING STREET: WOODLAWN DRIVE STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT WOODLAWN DRIVE FROM ~OUTH PADRE ISLAND DRIVE (SPID) WESTBOUND FRONTAGE ROAD TO McaRDLE ROAD AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BElT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: ~ SECTION 1. That Ordinance 02J4905 passed and approved on June 11,2002, be amended by amending Section b to adopt the final assessment roll and assessments to be levied against the owners of property abutting on the following street: Woodlawn Drive from South Padre Island Drive (SPID) Westbound Frontage Road to McArdle Road, a substantial copy of which is attached and incorporated as Exhibit A. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetil~gs so that this ordin~f~passed ~--~d~e~ i~,ff.e~ct upon first reading as an emergeincy measure this the ~'f, I I ' day of ~L 2003. ~ ATTEST:~ Armando Chapa, City Secretary THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI Samuel L.
