APPROPRIATING $5,000 OF GRANT PROCEEDS FROM THE
U.S. BUREAU OF RECLAMATION IN THE NO. 1052 WATER
GRANTS FUND T0 PROVIDE SITE SPECIFIC SECURITY
IMPROVEMENTS AND ENHANCEMENTS AT CHOKE CANYON
DAM, NUECES RIVER PROJECT, TEXAS; AMENDING NO. 1052
WATER GRANTS FUND BUDGET BY INCREASING
APPROPRIATIONS BY $5,000; AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS
CHRISTI, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $5,000 of grant proceeds from the U.S. Bureau of
Reclamation is appropriated in the No. 1052 Water Grants Fund to provide site
specific security improvements and enhancements at Choke Canyon Dam,
Nueces River Project, Texas.
SECTION 2. That the No. 1052 Water Grants Fund budget is amended by
increasing appropriations by $5,000.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members,
copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the
need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration
of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of
and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is
