HomeMy WebLinkAbout025516 ORD - 10/14/2003AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH UNITED STATES POSTALSERVlCEFOR THE OPERATION OF U.S. POSTAL SERVICES AT THE CORPUS CHRISTi iNTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FOR AN ANNUAL RENTAL PAYMENT OF$13,840.00, FORA PERIOD NOT TO EXCEED TWELVE MONTHS;AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. NOW, THEREFORE, BElT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. That the City Manager, or his designee, is hereby authorized to execute a Lease Agreement with United States Postal Service for the operation of U.S. Postal Services at the Corpus Christi International Airport for annual rental payment of $13,840.00, for a period not to exceed twelve months. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, to find and declare an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs, such finding of an emergency is made and declared requiring suspension of the Charter rule as to consideration and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and ~kall,take effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ['f't~day of C~,~'~JP~/'~ , 2003.
