AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR THE CITY MANAGER'S
DESIGNEE, TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF
TEXAS, OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION
IN THE AMOUNT OF $13,299 FOR YEAR 5 FUNDING OF THE
COMPUTER FORENSICS SPECIALIST GRANT OF THE POLICE
DEPARTMENT, WITH CITY MATCH OF $5,816 IN THE NO. 1061 FUND
AND CITY MATCH OF $45,977 IN THE NO. 1020 FUND, AND TOTAL
PROJECT COSTS OF $65,092
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, is authorized to submit
a grant application to the State of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice
Division, in the amount of $13,299 for Year 5 funding of the Computer Forensics
Specialist grant of the Police Department. The City match for this grant is $5,816 in the
No. 1061 Fund, and $45,977 in the No. 1020 fund, for a total project cost of $65,092.
SECTION 2. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, may accept, reject,
agree to alter the terms and conditions, or terminate the grant, if the grant is awarded to
the City.
SECTION 3. In the event of the loss or misuse of these funds, the City of Corpus
Christi assures that the funds will be returned in full to the State of Texas, Office of the
Governor, Criminal Justice Division.
