HomeMy WebLinkAbout025717 ORD - 04/20/2004ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING A GRANT FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN THE AMOUNT OF $62,112 FOR PERSONNEL, FRINGE BENEFITS, TRAVEL AND SUPPLIES TO MAINTAIN AN IMMUNIZATION PROGRAM IN THE NO. 1066 HEALTH GRANTS FUND; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That a grant in the amount of $62,112 is appropriated in the No. 1066 Health Grants Fund from the Texas Department of Health for personnel, fringe benefits, travel and supplies to maintain an immunization program. SECTION 2. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ~?'-day of ~t~r, I, 2004.
