HomeMy WebLinkAbout025780 ORD - 06/08/2004ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $337,626.46 FROM THE UNAPPROPRIATED BOND PROCEEDS AND UNAPPROPRIATED INTEREST EARNINGS IN WATER 1994 CIP FUND 4081 FOR THE NORTH NAVIGATION PUMPING PLANT CONTRACT NO. 3---36" DIAMETER WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN; AMENDING CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 025647 BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS BY $337,626.46; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $337,626.46 is appropriated from the unappropriated bond proceeds and unappropriated interest earnings in Water 1994 CIP Fund 4081 for the North Navigation Pumping Plant Contract No. 3 - 36" Diameter Water Transmission Main. SECTION 2. That Capital Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 025647 is amended by increasing appropriations by $337,626.46. SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is ~sed and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this the day of ~."~., 2004.
