HomeMy WebLinkAbout025827 RES - 07/20/2004RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR THE cl'rY MANAGER'S DESIGNEE, TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $91,999 TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE FOR FUNDING ELIGIBLE UNDER THE FY 2004 LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANTS PROGRAM TO PURCHASE LAW ENFORCEMENT EQUIPMENT FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT; WITH A CITY MATCH OF $10,222 IN THE NO. 1061 FUND, FOR TOTAL PROJECT COST OF $102,221 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The City Manager, or the City Manager's designee, is authorized to submit a grant application in the amount of $91,999 to the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance for funding eligible under the FY 2004 Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program to purchase law enforcement equipment for the Police Department. The City match for this grant is $10,222 in the No. 1061 Fund, for total project cost of $102,221. SECTION 2. The City Manager, or the City Managers designee, may accept, reject, agree to alter the terms and conditions, or terminate the grant, if the grant is awarded to the City.
