UNRESERVED FUND BALANCE IN FUND 3170, COMPUTER SYSTEM
1998 CIP FUND (CO) AND $1,154.19 FROM CURRENT YEAR
INTEREST EARNINGS IN FUND 3170, COMPUTER SYSTEM 1998 CIP
(CO) FOR PEOPLESOFT FINANCIALS COMPUTER TRAINING;
AMENDING FY 2003-2004 CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED BY
ORDINANCE NO. 025647 TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS BY
$38,148.15; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That $36,993.96 is appropriated in interest earnings from the Unreserved
Fund Balance in Fund 3170, Computer System 1998 CIP Fund (CO) and $1,154.19 is
appropriated from current year interest earnings in Fund 3170, Computer system 1998
CIP (CO) for PeopleSoft Financials Computer Training.
SECTION 2. That FY 2003-2004 Capital Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 025647 is
amended to increase appropriations by $38,148.15.
SECTION 3. That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy
attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for
immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs
and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon
ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is passed a.nd takes effect
upon first reading as an emergency measure this the ~J~lq'-day of ~al_, 2004.

For the reasons set forth in the emergency clause of the foregoing ordinance an
emergency exists requiring suspension of the Charier rule as to consideration and
voting upon ordinances at ~vo regular meetings: I/we, therefore, request that you
suspend said Charter rule and pass this ordinance finally on the date it is introduced, or
at the present meeting of the City Council.
