HomeMy WebLinkAbout025853 ORD - 07/20/2004ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $2,571,778.26 FROM UNAPPROPRIATED INTEREST EARNINGS FROM WASTEWATER 1994A CIP FUND 4240 (SRF FUNDS) FOR THE ALLISON WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT REHABILITATION AND OTHER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; AMENDING FY 2004 CAPITAL BUDGET ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE 025647 BY INCREASING APPROPRIATIONS $2,571,778.26; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That $2,571,778.26 is appropriated from the unappropriated interest earnings from Wastewater 1994A CIP Fund 4240 (SRF Funds) for the Allison Wastewater Treatment Plant Rehabilitation and other Improvements project. SECTION 2. That the FY 2004 Capital Budget adopted by Ordinance No. 025647 is amended by increasing appropriations by $2,571,778.26. SECTION 3 That upon written request of the Mayor or five Council members, copy attached, the City Council (1) finds and declares an emergency due to the need for immediate action necessary for the efficient and effective administration of City affairs and (2) suspends the Charter rule that requires consideration of and voting upon ordinances at two regular meetings so that this ordinance is pas~d and takes effect upon first reading as an emergency measure this theQ~_day of~, 2004.
